Forvis Mazars Advisory is currently inviting applications from recent graduates to join our IT Audit Department within the Audit and Advisory division. We are offering an exciting opportunity through our IT Audit Learnership Programme.As a successful candidate, you will be involved in a variety of key IT audit functions, including but not limited to: Conducting IT General Controls (ITGC) Reviews; Performing IT Governance Assessments; Evaluating Business Continuity Plans; Supporting Cybersecurity Audit Activities. This role is ideal for individuals looking to launch their careers in IT auditing and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute the IT General Controls Review, IT Governance Reviews, Business Continuity, and Cyber Security
• Preliminary reviews of systems, and process walkthroughs
• Documentation and flowcharting of business processes and systems
• Identify risks as input into business risk identification process
• Execution of IS audit engagements as agreed with the Senior IS Auditor /IS Audit Manager Manager/
• Provides feedback to Senior IT Auditors, Managers at audit debriefs or when required to do so, escalates problems to the manager promptly
• Manages audit relationships’
• Provide technical expertise and advice on Information Technology and understand IT security-related issues and requirements
• Responsible for deliverables and feedback to Senior IT Auditors , Managers; and
• Attends and participate in kick-off meetings and wrap up meetings as and when requested
• Prepare audit files with standard information
• Execute audit programs and record work done
• Prepare and audit findings and recommendations to address root cause of audit findings

Qualifications

• Relevant IT Degree / BCom with information systems / BSC Computer Science, majors/interest
• Initiative / pro-active
• Adherence to principles and values
• Writing and reporting skills
• Information gathering and problem analysis skills
• Able to demonstrate and exercise sound judgment skills planning and organisational skills
• Able to work and cope under pressure
• Strong teamwork skills
• Results driven and able to achieve work goals and objectives
